MIT 510: Office of International programs front end analysis and training plan MIT 510 Design & Development of Instructional technology (spr 07): By following the tenants of the management domain, I managed and led a two-person team to complete the instructional design project on time, under budget, and with high quality.
Apply principles of selection and use of materials and techniques relevant to a multicultural society (e.g., non-print, print, mass media, hardware, software, and other audiovisual strategies.
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to school staff on the use of current instructional technology in the development of training aids and delivery methodology, including knowledge on computer-based training, desktop videoconferencing, multimedia, audio, graphics, and distance learning technologies.
MIT 512: ADA workstation proposal MIT 512 Computer Applications in Education (fall07) – Created a change management plan for implementing an ADA compliant computer workstation at Heide High School. This was a comprehensive plan that included analysis, several proposed interventions, and an implementation plan.

MIT 513: Greenfield Lake tour website: Google shared document MIT 513: Computer-based Instruction (spr 08): As leader and manager of the team to construct a CBI module, I used vision and enthusiasm to motivate the others in the group. I also took on the managerial role of setting due dates, scheduling meetings, and establish standards.

MIT 530: Pender Co Change Management plan MIT 530: Evaluation and change in instructional development (SPR 08) Created a change management plan for Pender County School system, based on detailed and extensive analysis. This plan relies heavily on Roger’s diffusion of innovation theories. It proposes a professional development website that is organized and structured around these principles.
Promote the diffusion and adoption of the instructional development process.
  • Assist with the training plan for all college-wide roll-outs of new technology applications and software.
MIT 542: PED 101 MIT 542 Internship: PED 101: Led an instructional development team using the ADDIE model and Diffusion of Innovation techniques to restructure a course from face to face to online delivery.
Promote the diffusion and adoption of the instructional development process.
  • Assist with the training plan for all college-wide roll-outs of new technology applications and software.
Professional: Duke School of Nursing: Twitter CEU module Professional: Duke School of Nursing :TipNEp: Created an instructional video which outlines the stages of innovation adoption and characteristics of an innovation. It offers ‘Twitter’ as a case study to explain the concepts.

Professional: OCACHI: Google shared design document Professional: Duke School of Nursing: Office of Global and Community Health Initiatives (OGACHI): Developed a ‘train the trainer’ module that relied heavily on contextual analysis. I was designing in the USA for training to take place in Nicaragua. We had to account for not only the learner skills, but also the infrastructure and capabilities of the instructional delivery system and the performance environment.

Professional: OCACHI: Google shared design document Professional: OCACHI: Demonstrated and guided the ADDIE design process for a train the trainer program for delivery in Nicaragua. The manager of the project liked it so much, that she included instruction in ADDIE as a part of the training and commissioned the creation of a formal instructional unit on ADDIE.
