My career goals are closely connected to my philosophy. I hope that my employment allows me to work towards a better model of and method of instruction:

• Helping others understand and exploit the concepts of instructional design for the creation of educational environments and organizational change;
• Using my understanding of educational technology and instructional design including analysis, project management, development and evaluation to promote the ideas of social justice and sustainability;
• Exploring new opportunities that emerging information and communication technologies afford;
• Creating holistic learning experiences that empower people.

In support of these goals I would like to work in one or more of the following positions in my career:

• Faculty support for online learning in higher education;
• Distance learning specialist in company training department or dedicated training firm;
• NGO or social service organization in the outreach or training department (i.e., Health promotion office of UNCW or Wilmington Health Access for Teens;
• School district technology coordinator.
